Top Five Today

Today there are plenty of things on my mind and if I can get them organized, I may just get a post written. Here are the top five -

First off, I want to say how nice it is that my city counselors passed the “doggie diner” policy. The new policy allows you to take your dog with you when going out to lunch or supper. Outdoor restaurants are already clamoring to get the $150 permit so they can vie for a slice of this new dining experience. I think it will be a big hit! My dog, whenever I get him, is going to be thrilled.

Secondly, I wanted to thank the Vatican for issuing the “Ten Commandments for Drivers.” Now all those driving rules we all try to follow are written in stone – at least for Catholics. I sure don’t know how we lasted this long without the Commandments.

Thirdly, it hasn’t rained here yet. I’m really getting sick of this. We had a wonderful thunder and lightning storm last night but not a drop of rain. Don’t know how much more of this I can stand.

Fourthly, Blockbuster sent me the movie “Home for the Holidays” which I watched last night. My sister and I went to it in the theater about a hundred years ago – it was just as funny this time too. Made me miss all those family gatherings were we laughed, argued, annoyed, and caught up on each others accomplishments and failures.

Fifthly, I heard on the news that there was a shark bite on an 11yr old girl the other day. She wasn’t badly hurt and seemed pretty happy about it. I’m a little jealous, I must admit. Ok, not really – but how many people can say they were bit by a shark – very few people.
