It is a hot day here but thankfully low on humidity. I went for a short walk around the block and, while the air wasn’t heavy, it certainly was hot. Drove over to the Bay as well and it was beautiful as usual. Someone had a huge yacht blocking half the view though so I didn’t stay as long as I normally do. No one wants to sit and stare at a bunch of people drinking and getting soused on a boat.
Am getting ready to clean out the dreaded cubby hole. I’m determined that I will be getting rid of everything that doesn’t serve a useful purpose – that is a lot of junk. But I’m sick of it being such an eyesore. I need to get a new door for it but don’t know when that will happen. I’d like to get a split door so I could shut the top and leave the bottom open for Simon to get to his potty. Need to paint the whole thing too but will wait until I decide what color to paint the living room. Maybe I’ll get Simon one of those cat litter houses so his litter box isn’t so unsightly.
I have to work tonight unless they cancel me…not counting on that. Then I start back to work on my regular schedule tomorrow. I do believe I go to lighter overtime after this week – getting in only 10 hrs per pay period instead of 16 to 22 hrs. I should be able to get a lot done during those days off.
I’m watching this tiny woman in the parking lot across the street try to climb into the driver’s side of a large hummer. She has to take a foot stool out of the hummer just so she can get up high enough to get on the runner board and into the vehicle. Makes me wonder how she can reach the pedals.
Well, I need to get started on the cubbyhole or it won’t be done again this weekend.
