Yesterday

Yesterday
by: The Beatles

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they’re here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be,
There’s a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she had to go I don’t know she woldn’t say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play.
Now I need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Mm mm mm mm mm.

This song has been on my mind all day today. It makes me feel sad. Don’t know why it popped in my head.

Stolen Bike

My bike was stolen off my patio last night. I had it super duper chained and everything but it was gone this morning. It was there when I got off work at 11pm so whoever stole it did so while I was in the house. That really bothers me.

This is the second bike I’ve had stolen – there will not be a third. This bike didn’t even last eight months.

It makes me want to get an alarm system for the house. Not a monitored one but one that would make a lot of noise if someone broke in or broke a window. I wonder what kind of options they have out there for that. Not that I could alarm my patio but now there is nothing left to steal on it. {sigh}

I don’t want to over react but it pisses me off the more I think about it. I was going to leave my car in my spot while on vacation but now I worry someone will steal it or vandalize it if it is sitting there. Course, I run the risk someone will break into my house when they notice my car is gone for five days too. But I think people would more readily break into a car then a house – especially when it is a condo and the neighbors are literally next door.

I’m going to go complain to the board again about getting us a fence. It really irritates me that the transients walk around our complex without restraint because we lack fences.

More Good News

Wanted to share this tonight before I went to bed.

One of my coworker’s has a brother who is a fireman in another state. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and needed a bone marrow transplant. Everyone at work had their bone marrow tested to see if they were a match in an effort to save this man.

Tonight we got word that a donor was found and he will be getting the transplant he needs. Once again it shows that God answers our prayers!
