It is pretty disheartening to find I do really well in Jeopardy for kids but not the episodes for adults. Shows how much I know. Sometimes I feel like the world gets smarter and I stay the same.

While I’m Gone
I don’t know if I’ll make any posts while I’m gone as I don’t know what access I’ll have to a computer. I get back on Monday and will probably have all kinds of things to write about then.

Another Shooting
So Roni got a call this evening from a man who claimed someone was following him to kill him. The man didn’t stay on the line to answer her questions and didn’t stay where he said he was so the officers couldn’t find him when they got there.
A little bit later he called in again at a different location and again hung up before she could get any more information.
A few minutes later, word comes in about a fatal shooting at the second location. The news said the man rushed an officer with a weapon and the officer was forced to shoot him twice in the chest. He died at the scene.
Obviously Roni is upset – I would be too. But as several of us said, the officer wouldn’t have used deadly force if his life or another officer’s life wasn’t in mortal danger.
