Catch with Baxter

OMG! One hour down – 11 more to go. This getting up at 7am is not helping me stay awake. Took Baxter out for two walks today too. Then the little shit ran out the door lickety split as I was leaving for work so had to chase him down. He, of course, thought it was a terrific game.

I let him off the leash in the backyard because it is fenced. Can’t play catch if he is on a leash. Not that he fetches – he chases the ball, pounces on it, and then wants me to throw another. After I get all four balls thrown, he lays in the grass while I round them up again.

I don’t mind though cuz whe he pounces on the ball it is with such zeal and with such a prideful look that I have to laugh. I think he thinks that is the purpose of the game – to make me laugh…maybe it is.

Zip A Dee Do Dah

Have you ever been elated, but too tired to care?

That is kind of the way I am tonight. I’ve been doing more research on Wyoming so I’m excited about going – but I’m so tired that I can’t keep my mind focused. I get to a website, read it – then go to the next one only to wonder what the first one said. I went back and forth so many times my computer locked up. Guess it thought “enough is enough”.

I have a 12 hr day tomorrow and should already be in bed but here I am. I took Baxter out for his walk and the cool night air gave me a second wind – but I know I’ll be exhausted tomorrow if I don’t get some sleep.

While we were walking we were almost accosted by a very large pit bull. We backed up slowly and got inside the gate. The pit bull started to run but then veered off when he got to the other side of the fence and ran down the street. Beautiful dog but scary just the same.

Anyhow, guess I’ll get busy doing something else. Thanks for visiting my site!
