Old Drunken Fart

One of my neighbors is an old fart who sits on his patio most of the time drinking whiskey and being nosy. I have never liked him because he is very two faced and will outright lie if it suits him. He is always negative and always critical of everyone and everything. His name is Ernie.

Ernie called the management company and had them walk around with him today so he could tell him all the people who were violating any paragraph of the condo documents. I had my windows open and heard him complaining that I have too many plants, there was no consistency to what I had, and that he didn’t like my wind chimes. I’m sure I’ll be getting a letter about having to remove all that stuff in the coming days.

It actually doesn’t bother me as much as it would if I weren’t moving back to Iowa. Most of those plants I had to get rid of anyway so I don’t care if I do it now or later. Part of it is just the idea that he thinks everyone and everything should conform to his way of thinking – which is impaired due to his alcohol consumption anyway.

I hope things work out so I can move in June. If you are the praying kind, please pray for my move in June and that it is a smooth transition.

Ernie stopped me yesterday and told me we could only have TWO pets and my dog gave me FOUR. I told him he was seeing double because I only had one cat and now one dog. He is such a jerk.

Busy Day Today

I find it so hard to believe that it is only 1:30pm. I feel like I’ve been busy for hours!

Susan and I met this morning. We discussed my moving back to Iowa and how she thinks I should try to be ready to go in June rather then waiting till September. I would love to do so but worry about having enough money and about the condo board being pissy about me renting early. If I had enough money, I would go anyway and thumb my nose up at the board. Guess only time will tell.

Baxter and I went over to the Ringling Bridge park and played for awhile. He loved chasing the pigeons around though the sound of the waves hitting the rocks kind of scared him. He is such a good dog – I just adore him.

After that we went to Petsmart where I got a harness for him because I don’t like pulling on his neck when we are out walking. He wanted to play with every dog that was in the place and would whine like his heart was breaking when they had to move on with their masters. He does very well in the car – preferring the backseat because there is more room to stretch out.

We are home now and I don’t know about him, but I’m exhausted!

Bedtime

Ran into Lucky, Sonja and Dan when we went outside for our last walk tonight. Baxter was so caught up with meeting Lucky that he wouldn’t go potty at all. I will have to wait awhile and try again. The sprinklers, for whatever reason, went off early tonight so our path was too wet to walk anyway. Really don’t want Baxter all wet after just getting him dry.

Really need to clean some more before I go to bed…the house is a disaster. Been working on doing a collage of some of the pictures I took in Iowa – seems like I get them almost the way I want but never quite right. Can drive a person nuts.

Simone made it back upstairs without incident which means he is getting a tadbit braver. I wonder if they’ll ever be friends?
