Sunday

So I took Baxter on his walk over to the library and back. He was a good boy though had to stop and sniff everything.

My back really hurts today and I’m still very tired. It is a 12 hr day and I’m so wishing I didn’t have to work it but know once I get there I’ll be fine. It is leaving home when I have so many things I want to do that makes me not want to go to work.

My internet is on again today – don’t know if it will be tomorrow or not. I think I’m going to go back to dialup. I pay so much money for this DSL and it constantly locks up on me or works sporadically. I’m sick of it. Dialup wasn’t this much trouble – yes, it was slower but damn…

Have a good day and keep safe. I have an accident to write about from last night but I have to get ready for work so it will have to wait until tomorrow. Remember folks, its a jungle out there!

Locked Doors

Read the book “Locked Doors” by Blake Crouch at work last night. It was about a man who is falsely accused of murdering seven people so he flees to Canada to live.

The real killer, who wants to lure the man out of hiding, starts killing all the hero’s friends in brutal ways to get the killings on national t.v. Soon the hero is stalking the killer and vice versa. They close in on each other on a small island off the outer banks of North Carolina. Many people die of course.

My problem with the book is that I didn’t get a sense of who the individuals were so really didn’t care if they died. I felt the writer failed to engage me in the storyline enough that I would root for the good guy over the bad guy.

The author is not one I would read again and I wouldn’t recommend the book. Not to mention the title has very little to do with the actual story.
