The Joyous Holidays

It has been very busy here at work both yesterday and today. No doubt building up to the joyous holidays again.

We’ve had several fatal car accidents, several bayflights, a ton of domestic disturbances, three home invasions, numerous heart attacks, at least five successful suicides and too many attempts to even count.

Everyone is tired and worn out and the holidays aren’t even here yet. The next thirty days will continue to be this bad and steadily get worse till next year.

Whoever said the holidays were joyous obviously didn’t work 911.

Observer

I had an observer today who was quite good looking – why can’t I be twenty years younger? Why weren’t there good looking guys like him around when I was that age?

More About Wyoming

Received the books I ordered on Wyoming yesterday. I read some of mine today but skipped quite a bit hoping one of my cohorts reads it and briefs me later. The book is on the Grand Tetons and we’ll be in the forest but it is all one park now. We will be able to day hike over there or ride horses over.

I’m still hoping to find more info on the forest too. I put in a call to the park but had to leave a message again.

According to the book late summer early fall (Sept & Oct) are the best months to visit the park because there are fewer people. June will be good though warmth wise. I’m really anxious. The book discusses wildlife, etc. I need to get the packets mailed out soon but am waiting on the other books I ordered.

In Trouble

It’s almost a done deal – this last four hours. I have tomorrow off which makes me very happy. Not that I don’t like work – I just need a break.

Roni did get into trouble last night. She got pulled into the office about her attitude and made to follow up on the call in question which meant she was here after 11pm. She announced that “this is bullshit” to those around her which further exacerbated the situation. I couldn’t believe how rude she was.

Today she called in sick less then an hour before her shift was scheduled to begin – something totally against the rules unless you are dying. So if and when she does come back to work she will be in trouble for that as well. She may be fired for insubordination once the supervisors discuss it. I can’t imagine it will be good because she’s already been warned twice about her attitude.

Apparently she was rude to the top, overall supervisor earlier in the day so they talked to her about that. A couple of weeks ago she got in trouble for calling a coworker bitchy several times very loudly in front of everyone. I can’t see her being around much longer.

Her supervisor can’t keep making excuses for Roni’s behavior and if Roni continues down her current path, she can forget about transferring to another department because it will go on her record. I’m kind of disappointed in her behavior. She acts like this job is beneath her – before long it will be beyond her cuz they will fire her.

She also gave the supervisor “the hand” which basically means to shut up – another worker was fired for doing that.
