Best In Show

We watched “Best in Show” today. I use to wonder how anyone could watch a two hour thing on dogs parading around – it sounded so boring. But a couple of years ago I started tuning in and have really come to enjoy it. So much so that I refused to let anyone change the channel until it was over.

The dog I wanted to win did so that made me happy. I can’t believe Baxter is a full Pekeningese because the one in the show was so small. At least, I think it was smaller – hard to tell under all that fur.

The “Best” in show was a gorgeous dog with very beautiful colors – I think it was a cattledog but can’t remember now. I saw it in line and it was love at first sight so I started rooting for it even though there was also a cute pug in line too. Really couldn’t have been happier over which one won. I loved the pug but the other one was so regal. That breed had never won before so that was cool too. Have another dog type to add to my list of dogs to own. :-)

Confession Time

Ok, I have a confession. Since Gary and I broke up three years ago, I really haven’t spent much time thinking about men, sex or relationships. Not because our relationship was so bad persay, but because I’m not one to jump into relationships. I value my “me” time so after each relationship where I had to consider someone else’s involvement in my life – I’m ready to be alone. I’ve gone as long as nine years without dating and as little as seven months.

So far I virtually haven’t had the slightest inkling or attraction to any guys I’ve met – except one who was dating a skank so that disqualified him out right away. Then tonight I popped in a movie I haven’t watched in about a year. The main character makes me smack my lips in lust. For those who really know me – yes, its probably the movie that pops into your head first.

I’m not going to say all muscle spouting men float my boat – most I think are grossley misshapen – and even this one isn’t good looking all the time. I wouldn’t kick him out of bed for eating crackers though either.

So who was the guy who made me ask myself, abeit casually, if it might be time for some spice in my life? Yep, Vin Diesel though I hate that nickname as well. But watching him in “Pitch Black” turns me into jello.
