Well, I went ahead and signed up for all the overtime for the next two weeks. I didn’t want to but in reviewing the schedule, there really was no one else who could do so and they would just mandatory me anyway. Might as well volunteer even though I absolutely hate OT. I have a lot of it next month and, since Eric is leaving us soon, I’ll probably have a lot of it from now on.
Luckily, next week Thursday and Friday are only for 3 hours so that is good – unless the person coming in at 6pm calls in sick that is. The next week I’ll work every day straight with only the 31st being a 3 hour day. BUT, the first full week of August I do have three days in a row off so will try to preserve that so I have something to look forward to.
I’m already tired just thinking about it. Don’t forget, one of the dispatcher’s had 900+ hour OT last year while the others had several hundred each…so sounds like I might as well get use to the idea of having it myself. Ugh.
