Cadaver dogs have begun a search for the body of a 2 year old girl in Orlando Florida who has been missing for more then a month.
The girl’s 22 year old mother was arrested on charges of child neglect and criminal obstruction because she told investigators she dropped the child off at a babysitter last month but hadn’t seen her since. The woman did not contact police until this week and then only because relatives were becoming concerned that they hadn’t seen the child in awhile.
While the authorities hope the child is still alive, they are not overly optimistic. They fear the child was murdered by the mother who then came up with this fantastic story after family started severely questioning her about the child’s whereabouts.
I get really tired of this topic – I wish that God restricted child birth to mother’s he knows will be worthy of the honor. That may be harsh but it would put an end to child abuse, child endangerment and murders.
I saw this story on TV as well. it is so sad! It’ babies having babies, and people who are mentally ill looking for love getting pregnant and then the children suffer. It isn’t easy a parent. It is a job to be taken lightly, which is why sex should never be taken lightly. I wish there was a way to impart that knowledge to people…people have choices and the wrong choices always end up hurting the wrong people!

There was another – about 12-year old girl abducted in Vermont and its especially creepy, since it turned out that her uncle raped her and other little girl and then murdered one of them.
It is sad. The 22 year old mother may know something or she’s just scared. What I don’t get is her mother is in completely denial of her childs’ lies. Come on. As a mother of four you can see lies hidden into EXCUSES. The daughter and granddaughter lived with grandparents until June, 9 2008. Out of the blue moves out for a small vacation. The daughter had choice of giving child to grandmother. Mother believes father of child dead because she saw a obit. Chances are daughter got a taste of freedom as a teenager and let her mothers’ instinct go. Or did the grandmother actually raise the child more so then her daughter. The grandmother has more to say bt won’t let her daughter get into more trouble. Do you think the grandmother is finally putting two and two together? I will give the daughter a benefit of a doubt, because we live in America. God Bless the family and hopefuly a safe return.

Where were the 22-year-old’s friends/family members during the first 24 hours that this child was missing? It took weeks of relatives becoming “concerned” before the mom reported it to police? What about neighbors? Why didn’t anyone report something sooner? I won’t even let my child walk next door without an adult outside. How can the people in her life be this complacent?
I heard about this story for the first time today and it makes me so angry. I don’t have kids and probably won’t (unfortunately) and I can’t believe how irresponsible people can be.
This is such a sad story. I pray that this beautiful little girl is found safe soon. It saddens me to think a parent could be capable of doing something to harm their beautiful child in any way and not show any concern when they are missing, nor be concerned about informing other family members of any possible details.
It was reported that the father died in a car accident a couple of years ago.
i feel afraid for the little girl and hope the find her, i just finished watching a clip on msn and i don’t think the baby was kidnapped , in my opinion the mother got a taste of being an actual parent she wasn’t able to party with her friends any longer , her and the grandmother got into an arguement over the credit card being stolen,and she was running out of money so she sold the baby to the nanny……. that’s what i think has happened . if not the case i hope the find the baby soon
