Just got a call from a woman about a chipmunk on the walkway who looked like it was in shock or disorientated. I wanted so badly to tell her it was just acting like most students who were still trying to find their way around campus. I dispatched a unit but the chipmunk figured out where it was suppose to be and took off before we could go speak to it. I’m sure it found itself at the Communications building and thought he was suppose to be at the Communications CENTER instead. Lord knows we have a lot of confusingly named buildings around here…like the Pomerantz Center vs the Pomerantz Pavilion.
This woman actually called back a second time wondering where we were…it had only been three minutes! I’m afraid the radio was alive with chipmunk jokes.
