Pain
I have a very uncomfortable pain in the left side of my abdomen. It starts under the rib and goes down past my hips. It is a constant dull ache with occasional sharp pains that make me wince.
I am not worried about the pain in that I know what is causing it – I let myself get dehydrated so until I can drink more water, I’m going to have the pain. I drank four glasses worth but that isn’t enough. I know I’m dehydrated because my lips are also very dry which rarely happens unless I haven’t been drinking enough water.
Normally I make myself drink some water plus also ice tea which counts towards my daily water allotment. Today I was too darn tired to do anything so I’m paying for it now.
I took a 45 minute break and drank water then but am out of water now and won’t get another break for at least two hours. Can’t wait to get home and go to bed.

ice tea has caffeine in it, so that just dehydrates you more.
You need to drink water!!!!

I drink decaffienated so my health coach tells me that it counts towards water. Figured I should drink caffeinated tea because then it is almost the same as drinking soda.

Kathy,
Taking antacids and having pain – sounds familiar. I had been going to a gastrointerologist for a couple years. He kept giving me prilosec. Eventually I was taking two in the morning and two at night (your only supposed to take one a day). Eventually I started having sever abdominal pain. I called the gastro dr several times could not get him to call me back. Called my family doctor, she said to talk to the gastro doctor. Finally after hours that evening, I got one of the gastro doctors to talk to me. They sent me to the ER. I had diverticulitis and gall stones. My brother-in-law, who is a doctor said it was a good thing. They did a catscan and found it right away so saved me from numerous tests. After a week on a liquid diet and two antibiotics, and then about a month to get into a surgeon, I had gall bladder surgery and now a year later, I am feeling much better. If you are in pain, don’t let it go.
